A ribbon cutting with Alaska's First Lady helped celebrate this week the 33,000 square feet added to the Mat-Su Career & Technical High School. The extra space adds three new career pathways to the school: transportation, HR, and natural resources.

An effort to repeal permanent car registration was postponded indefinitely by the Assembly last night. The local Alaska DMV has been crowded recently by residents trying to get the pay one-more-time deal for cars, eight years and older.
