We've finally found a scratching device that fits our needs! These folks will ship to AK but for a little additional charge (no surprise there). I bought two cases of 50 and the shipping was $63.90. -fyi
Donating items
The Animal Shelter happily welcomes your donations. We're often in need of the following items for the animals -
- storage tubs for emergency caches in Talkeetna, Willow, Glacier View, and Chickaloon
- black Kongs
- dog collars with buckles
- puppy chew rings
- Comfy cones
- tennis balls
- small white boards for monitoring an animals health over time
- monetary donations
If you'd like to donate for your fellow citizens who might be having financial troubles, we also collect pet food and other items in the Kibble for Kritters program.
The staff at the front desk can provide you with a receipt when you drop off donations.

- offsite adoption events
- offsite shot clinics
