Mr. Keogh has a long, diverse history of public service. He served 4 years as a soldier in the U.S. Army (2 years in Viet Nam), 17 years as a paramedic and firefighter with the Anchorage Fire Department, and 16 years as a water resources specialist and paralegal with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He also served several years as chair of his community council. He holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Alaska, and a masters degree in environmental science from Alaska Pacific University. Warren and his wife Sally, a lifelong Alaskan, raised three sons here after settling in the Valley in 1978.

Mr. Keogh represents the citizens of District 1 that includes the widespread communities and areas of Butte, Lazy Mountain, South Knik River, Farm Loop, south Fishhook, Soapstone, Buffalo Mine, Sutton, Chickaloon, Glacier View, Lake Louise, and eastern Denali Highway.
