Recreational Services provides indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities, programs, services, and facilities to enrich the lives of the MAT-SU residents and visitors.

Library Services continues to enrich and help with the education of MAT-SU residents and visitors. The Borough operates public libraries that are located in the communities of Big Lake, Sutton, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, and Willow. Additionally, the cities of Palmer and Wasilla each have their own public library.
The Community Enrichment Program offers classes and activities for all age groups in various communities. These programs are aimed toward the recreation and educational needs of each community.

***NEW 2015 TRAILHEAD PARKING PASSES***
Starting January 1, 2015, the Mat-Su Borough's Trailhead Parking Passes will be issued on a calendar basis (January - December). The new, non-transferable window decals will be available to purchase year round. After January 2015, and for the remainder of 2015 only, the parking passes will be offered for a prorated price.
