Another successful fundraising event was held on February 9, 2008. Whole Wheat Radio was transformed into an elegant dining room and 70 people attended the Wine & Dessert Tasting and Silent Auction. Seven wines and one beer, all donated by Alaska Distributors were paired with 7 desserts and one appetizer. A silent auction brought in over $3000. The event raised over $5000 toward the playground effort. Many thanks to sponsors Arctic Brewing Supply, Wildflower Cafe, and Alaska Mountain Magic - along with countless amazing volunteers and businesses that donated desserts and supplies for the event.
