The Borough Attorney is the legal advisor to the Assembly, the School Board and other officers/departments/divisions of the Borough. As such, the office represents the Borough in Administrative Appeals, Board of Equalization Appeals, Animal Care & Regulation Board Appeals, and civil and criminal proceedings in State, District, Federal and Bankruptcy Courts.

The office also confers with Borough Administration, employees and elected officials on various legal matters, contracts, agreements, and disputes and attends meetings in an advisory capacity. As needed, the office prepares and reviews Borough legal documents, governmental legislation, ordinances, contracts, licenses, and deeds, and writes legal opinions.
