The South Knik River Community Council requested assistance from the Borough in creating a Comprehensive Plan. A planning team was formed, and meetings have taken place to prepare a draft. The draft is now being reviewed by the Community Council.

The most important note from Thursday's meeting(5/19) is that there was a special meeting scheduled for JUNE 4, 2011 AT 11 AM to finish the Comprehensive Plan. Those that attended felt that this would be beneficial to all those involved. We will still need to have a quorum to proceed with this meeting, so please plan on attending so this plan can be completed. This plan affects everyone in our community and so far only a small number are making the decisions that will concern everyone. This is the first step to developing the standards of our community. I will be calling everyone on the calling list and sending out another reminder email concerning this. Also, we anticipate this lasting until 3 PM so we are also making it into a community potluck. Please provide a dish - hot or cold to share with everyone.
