Conditional Use Permits
Conditional Use Permits are required for certain land uses within the Borough.

A conditional use permit application under MSB 17.60 has been submitted for the operation of a monofill for the disposal of inert material. The inert debris will primarily be non-hazardous shredded residual nonrecyclable waste material from construction and demolition waste. Regulated Asbestos Containining Material (RACM) and Non-RACM will be accepted at the site.
Location:
The proposed site is located on MSB Tax Parcels: 17N02E18C010 (2840 S. Glenn H ighway) and 17N02E19B006 (2560 S. Glenn Highway; within Township 17 North, Range 2 East, Sections 18 and 19, Seward Meridian.

Northern Gravel & Trucking – Material Extraction Conditional Use Permit (CUP)
A conditional use permit under MSB 17.30 – Conditional Use Permit for Earth Materials Extraction Activities, has been submitted by Jim Baxter, on behalf of Northern Gravel & Trucking, LLC. The applicant is requesting the removal of approximately 400,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel from a 20-acre mining site within a 40-acre parcel, with the final year of extraction occurring in 2023.

The subject site is located on MSB Tax Parcel# 18N02E03B005, within Township 18 North, Range 2 East, Section 3, Seward Meridian (9002 N. Buffalo Mine-Moose Creek Road).

Tutka, LLC – Material Extraction Conditional Use Permit (CUP)
A Conditional Use Permit under MSB 17.30 – Conditional Use Permit for Earth Materials Extraction Activities, has been submitted by John Sommer, on behalf of Tutka, LLC. The applicant is requesting the removal of approximately 150,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel from an 8.5-acre mining site. The final year of extraction will occur in 2018.

The applicant proposes to operate a 1,354 square foot liquor package store within an existing 3,151 square foot building.
