Annual Winter Trails Day at Hatcher Pass
Dive into winter the first weekend of January for the Annual Winter Trails Day at Hatcher Pass. Free classes on skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and sledding. Some gear is provided. Hot refreshments, a warming barrel, and laughter on the hill make for a memorable winter day. A few hundred turn out for the event, sponsored by the Mat-Su Borough Parks & Outdoor Recreation Division.
DIRECTIONS:
Once in the Hatcher Pass Area (vicinity maps) take a left at mile 11 of Hatcher Pass Road. Go up the hill to a parking lot. Sledding is on the left side of the hill and snow boarding is on the right. Bring your own gear.
