Mat-Su—Fireworks are illegal in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough for the July 4th celebration. A $500 fine is possible. The City of Houston allows them. Or enjoy the professional show in Wasilla on July 3 at 11 pm in Iditapark.

Only during the winter when the conditions are not ripe for fire, fireworks are legal on New Year's Eve in the Borough.
