Optional $20,000 Property Exemption Form.  For Senior Citizen and Disabled Veterans.

Already getting the Senior Citizen and/or Disabled Veteran Property Exemption? You will need to fill out this form for 2013.  Please sign both signature lines. The top one verifies you are still eligible, the bottom one is for the additional 20,000 exemption that is new starting 2013. 

Never applied before?

1. Sign the bottom section of this form.
2.  Fill out "SENIOR CITIZEN/DISABLED VETERAN PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION APPLICATION".
3. Submit both forms to Mat-Su Borugh Assessment Division.

• Property must be actively farmed.
• There is no late file provision for this program.
• Successful application requires that 10% of total household income is from farm income.
• Please provide with application by May 15, 2013:
  • IRS 1040 and schedule F.
  • Current lease if leased to a farmer (other than the owner).
  • Please accurately indicate acreages per farm use (i.e., hay ensilage = 5 acres)
  • Application must be signed by both owner and farmer.
