The Borough’s existing driveway standards are located within the Subdivision Construction Manual which was last updated in 1991. During the effort to update the Subdivision Construction Manual, it was determined that the update to the driveway standards should be placed within the Borough code so that homeowners and developers alike can easily access and understand the rules.

The draft ordinance establishes a clear permit process and will ensure proper placement and design of driveways in order to ensure drainage, maintenance, movement and safety of the traveling public.
