Bid Description: The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, equipment, tools and incidentals for Solid Waste Transportation pursuant to the bid documents. It is the Solid Waste Divisions intent to transition from contracted to in house waste hauling between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020. This contract serves to augment waste hauling activities during the transition period with a goal to reduce reliance on contractor services each quarter as outlined in the scope of work. Hauling activity may be more or less than estimated number of hauls noted in Appendix B due to schedule variables such as equipment procurement vs. arrival and driver training.
