The manager is the chief administrative officer of the borough, and is responsible for the proper administration of all borough affairs and implementation of borough policy as established by the assembly. The manager has ultimate responsibility and authority for the well functioning of the borough. This includes direction of all Borough employees except for those in the clerk’s and attorney’s offices. The direction and supervision of the manager is distributed among the departments established by ordinance. The manager is appointed by the assembly and serves at its pleasure. An elected official may not be appointed manager sooner than one year after leaving office.
