The project will provide the design and construction of a new 36,000 square foot Fire Station in the West Lakes Fire Service Area.
This project will replace the existing station providing space for administration, DES fleet maintenance, 24/7 staffing to facilitate quicker response times and provide an increased level of fire protection for the surrounding community.
The new Fire Station is located at 10073 W. Parks Highway at approximately mile 51.
The footings and foundation are complete. The underground plumbing and electric is complete. All the concrete slab work is complete, to include in floor radiant heat in both the Apparatus and Maintenance Bays. The structural split and smooth face CMU walls and the steel erection are complete as is the installation of the curtain wall system. Interior work is underway and the Asphalt paving is complete. The project is progressing on schedule.
