Moonstone Farm – Conditional Use Permit
The public hearing for this Conditional Use Permit request was canceled from May 18, 2020 Planning Commission meeting. An application for a conditional use permit under MSB 17. 70 – Regulation of Alcoholic Beverage Uses, has been submitted for the operation of an alcoholic beverage dispensary (bar) associated with Moonstone Farm tourism.
Location: The proposed use is located at 2141 S. Church Road (Tax ID# 17N01E16C012); within Township 17 North, Range 1 East, Section 16, Seward Meridian.
Applicant: Michelle Church (dba Moonstone Farm)
Public Hearing: The new public hearing date for this request is June 8, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Borough Assembly Chambers located at 350 E. Dahlia Avenue in Palmer. This may be the only presentation of this item before the Planning Commission and you are invited to attend.

The public may provide verbal testimony in person at the meeting or telephonically by calling 1-833-949-2500. Once you call in, you will be asked by the call-in studio moderator to provide your name, phone number, address, and what case you would like to speak on. When it is your turn to speak under public testimony, you will be unmuted by the studio moderator. You will be muted until the case you wish to speak on is presented. Once you are unmuted please state your name for the record, and provide your comments. You have 3 minutes to state your concerns & comments. This is not a question and answer session. This is only for stating your concerns and comments.
In order to be eligible to file an appeal from a decision of the Planning Commission, a person must be designated an “interested party.” See MSB 15.39.010 for the definition of “interested party.” The procedures governing appeals to the Board of Adjustment and Appeals are contained in MSB 15.39.010-250, which is available on the Borough home page: www.matsugov.us, in the Borough Clerk’s office, and at various libraries within the borough.
Comments are due on or before April 17, 2020 and will be included in the Planning Commission packet for the Commissioner’s review and information. Please be advised that comments received from the public after that date will not be included in the staff report to the Planning Commission.
