The following Personal Use Firewood Areas (PUFA) are open and have wood available for harvest.
- Church Road PUFA
- Point MacKenzie PUFA
- Burnt Butte PUFA
Information specify to the individual PUFA can be found on the MSB e-commerce web page at https://ecommerce.matsugov.us/Pages/default.aspx or can be obtained in person at the Land & Resource Management Division between the hours of 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri. at the Mat-Su Borough Administration Building, located at 350 E. Dahlia Avenue, Palmer.
The cost for the each permit is $25; the permits are non-transferable to other MSB permitted Personal Use Firewood Areas. All permits expires December 31, 2020 and must be renewed annually.
The permit must be in your possession during the removal of wood from specific site purchased.
The cost for each cord of wood is $25 with a maximum of 10 cords per household per year from the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.
